Meryl Kenny

Prof. Meryl Kenny is Professor of Gender and Politics at the University of Edinburgh and Director of the Centre on Constitutional Change. Her research bridges the intersection of gender politics, party politics, territorial politics and institutional approaches to the study of politics. She is the author of Gender and Political Recruitment: Theorizing Institutional Change (Palgrave, 2013), and her research on feminist institutionalism, political recruitment and political representation has been published in journals such as European Journal of Political Research, European Journal of Politics & Gender, Government & Opposition, Publius: The Journal of Federalism, Politics & Gender, European Political Science, and Political Studies. Kenny is one of the series editors of the Oxford University Press book series Studies in Feminist Institutionalism, and was previously co-editor of the RLI book series Feminist Institutionalist Perspectives.
